We write a leadership development and people management blog because we think the world doesn’t need another echo chamber of corporate clichés. This is a space for provocative thinking, grounded in practical knowledge and real-world experience, not fluffy theories or mainstream platitudes. Our goal is to challenge assumptions, spark uncomfortable but necessary conversations, and offer evidence-based insights that actually help leaders grow and teams thrive. If you're tired of the usual HR-speak and want tools that work in the trenches, you're in the right place.

You can download our eBooks for free because we believe in sharing knowledge and shaping corporate practices for better. Our writing is driven by a desire to support leaders and teams in their development journey - providing practical insights that encourage reflection and action. The eBooks are not just informative; they are often provocative, introducing fresh mindsets and bravely challenging conventional HR and leadership approaches. By making them freely accessible, we aim to foster a culture of continuous improvement and thoughtful dialogue across organizations.

In 2023, the Act2Manage team embarked on an ambitious research project to explore a critical question: To what extent do Bulgarian people managers apply widely accepted management practices? We also sought to uncover the key factors influencing the application of leadership knowledge in Bulgaria. Through our research, we faced a significant challenge — there is no universally agreed-upon definition of what makes a "good" leader or the essential skills required for leadership, neither in practice nor in international literature. We finally concluded to investigate those behaviours that show the highest correlation to employee engagement. We present the key findings of our research, conducted among Bulgarian leaders, which also provide valuable insights for leaders in other CEE countries.
